Horse racing is one of the oldest sports in history and with horses acting as man’s main form of transport for thousands of years, its something that evolved from all corners of the globe. Today, horse racing is a very serious sport, but its seriousness is often overshadowed by the real driving force behind it – sports betting. In countries like England and even in the Far East, racing horses has a very rich tradition. Owners, jockeys and punters have a real love and respect for the sport and its these people who actually have the power to keep the sport clean. When we bet on horse racing we want to know that its fair. The same goes for all all sports and when allegations of fixing comes out it can really hurt the sport and not just the TAB.

In the end, when people lose their confidence in the fairness of a race, it will only diminish the sport as a whole. we all want to see a fair race. We all want to know that its a true contest and not something that’s contested in how deep people’s pockets are.
